First let me say that this is classified as a young adult, but is darker than most with some strong language, so I would suggest this for older teens.This book was a total surprise coming from Clive Barker. I wasn't expecting such interesting characters - different from what I'm used to from him. I enjoyed this book and found that Abarat was a fascinating and interesting place and Candy made the story for me. I really enjoyed her.
I found this and enjoyable and interesting read. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series!
